Eligibility

4. The promotion commences at 12.01 am (NZ time) on Monday, November 15th 2021 and closes at 11.59 pm (NZ time) on Sunday December 19th 2021 (Promotion Period). Only entries that are received during that time will be eligible to win the prize.

Competition entry
5. To enter, Eligible Entrants must, during the Promotion Period:

  • Complete a hearing health screening instore via a booked audiogist appointment, or via our in clinic self-screening kiosk.

6. Entries are limited to one per client
7. The Promoter reserves the right to request that the winner provides proof of identity, age, and proof of residency as a condition of receipt of the prize. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify any Eligible Entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry that is not (in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter) in accordance with these terms and conditions.
8. The Promoter is not responsible for any lost, late or misdirected entries.
9. The free hearing test does not include any GP or ENT reports or pre-employment checks. If any of these are required then Triton Hearings normal fees will apply.

Prize Draw
10. Prize draw will take place on Monday, December 20th 2021 at Unit 7, 6-8 Omega St, Rosedale, Auckland, 0632.
11. The judges’ determination is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. The winner will be notified by phone and/or email on December 20th and the winner’s details will also be listed on tritonhearing.co.nz and on the Triton Hearing Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/tritonhearing/  .

The prize
13. The prize draw consists of and will be allocated to 1 winner.  14. The prize must be claimed by Friday, December 24th 2021.
15. The prize does not include travel to a Triton Hearing Clinic for any appointments.
16. Each prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated. Prizes are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services. A prize cannot be transferred to any other person, unless agreed to by the Promoter.
17. If any act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations and the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any applicable law) to cancel, terminate or modify or suspend this promotion.
18. The Promoter, its related bodies corporate, and their respective officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury whatsoever (including but not limited to direct, indirect and consequential loss) suffered or sustained in connection with this promotion, the promotion of this promotion or the use of any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
19. The Promoter reserves the right to judge a new winner in the event of an entrant being unable to satisfy these promotion terms and conditions or forfeiting or not claiming a prize
20. Entry details remain the property of the Promoter.  The name and photograph of the winner may be used for promotional purposes by the Promoter, unless a winner otherwise notifies the Promoter at the time of accepting the prize.

'Pay As You Hear', 

Hearing aid subscription service.

We know that upfront investment for hearing devices can be a barrier for some clients who would benefit from them.  ‘Pay As You Hear, for $1, $3, $5 or $6.55 a day’ eliminates this barrier, unlocking the potential to help clients to enjoy the re-connection with friends, family and loved ones that Better Hearing can bring.

1.1  We will provide you with either Phonak PremiumPro Rechargeable device/s, Phonak PremiumOne Rechargeable device/s, Phonak Belong30 device/s, Phonak Lyric, or other equivalent hearing aid/s (“device/s”) depending on subcription level chosen.

1.2   We will also provide maintenance, care and support for your devices, including: hearing tests and adjustments/fine tuning of your device/s, as required; repair of your device/s, including cleaning and receiver replacements; and rechargeable batteries and consumables, including moisture kits and tablets, domes, receivers and wax guards.

1.3  You can upgrade to the latest hearing aid(s) at equivalent technology level, every 3 years from the date of first fitting. Upgrade must be fitted within 3 months after the 3 year anniversary of the fitting date.


2. Trial Period and Payment

2.1  Your subscription period will commence on the initial fitting date. We will provide the device/s to you on the initial fitting date for a free trial period of 30 days. The trial period end date is the date that is 30 days after initial fitting of your device/s. There is no obligation to continue the subscription after the trial period end date. If you do not wish to proceed with the subscription, you must return the device/s to us (along with all other products provided) on or before the trial period end date. We will not charge you any subscription fees for device/s returned on or before the trial period end date. If the device/s are not returned before the end of the trial period you will be deemed to have agreed to continue with the subscription.
  
2.2  The subscription fee will be charged monthly in advance. Your first payment will be automatically deducted from your credit card the day after the trial period end date. We will continue to automatically charge your credit card every month after that until you cancel your subscription in accordance with clause 3.

2.3 If you return all products to us at a Triton Hearing clinic within 60 days of the initial fitting date you will receive a full refund of any subscription money paid. If you cancel after 60 days after fitting, we will provide a refund of any subscription monies paid in advance in the current month, as at the date the device/s are returned.

2.4 All refunds will be processed within 14 working days of the device/s being returned to us in the required condition.

2.5  We will not increase the subscription price for 36 months from the initial fitting date. We reserve the right to change the subscription price after this period.

2.6  We will provide you with one month’s written notice of any price increases or changes to these subscription terms.

3. Cancellation

3.1   You can cancel your subscription at any time by returning the device/s to us at a Triton Hearing clinic. Any payment (part or full) made in respect of any period after the cancellation date will be refunded provided the devices are returned in the required condition as defined in clause 4.4.

3.2  We reserve the right to cancel your subscription if we cannot charge your credit card. Before cancelling your subscription we will attempt to call or email you. You must return the device/s to us within 10 days of cancellation.

4. Ownership and Liability

4.1  The device/s remain the property of Sonova Audiological Care New Zealand Limited.

4.2  You must not offer or sell the devices to any third parties. Any follow up appointments, repairs, or maintenance in relation to the device/s must be completed at a Triton Hearing clinic.

4.3  You are responsible for the safe custody and care of the device/s and any other related products and accessories. You are also responsible for ensuring the device/s are covered by your insurance policy. You will be liable for the costs of any repair or replacement of your device/s required as a result of loss of the device/s or damage that is not fair wear and tear or an inherent defect. The charge for replacement device/s will be the loss/damage fee set out in clause 4.5.

4.4  Device/s must be returned in fair and reasonable condition, which is defined as a product that is in working order and that has not suffered any damage other than fair wear and tear or an inherent defect, as reasonably determined by a Triton Hearing clinician.

4.5  If you do not return the device/s to Triton Hearing in fair and reasonable condition as defined in clause 4.4 or do not return the device/s within the timeframe set out in clause 3.1, we reserve the right to charge you a loss/damage fee. The loss/damage fee at the commencement of the subscription period (and at the time of any upgrade under clause 1.3) will be a sum equivalent to the retail price of the device/s, and will reduce by 1.4% for each month of the subscription period.  By way of example, after 10 months, the loss/damage fee will be 86% of the retail price.

We’ll arrange an appointment for you to meet with a Triton Hearing clinician and return the hearing aid/s, related products and accessories. If you return all products to us in fair and reasonable condition, we will provide a full refund.

A product that is in working order (other than as a result of an inherent defect) and that has not suffered any damage other than fair wear  (as reasonably determined by a Triton Hearing clinician) will be considered to be in fair and reasonable condition.  

All refunds will be processed within 14 working days of the products being returned to us in fair and reasonable condition. The safe custody of the hearing aid/s and any other related products and accessories is your responsibility from the time you take possession. Please contact your insurance company to ensure you have adequate cover for the full retail cost of the hearing aid/s, related products and accessories.


Lifetime FREE Care Policy

One of the key benefits of purchasing your hearing aid/s from Triton Hearing is the fact that you will receive free care and support for the life of your hearing aids. Clinician appointments for the life of the hearing aids are free of charge. On-site clean and checks are free of charge for the life of the hearing aids.

Care and support includes:
  • On-site changes of domes, thin tubes, filters, standard tubes
  • On-site changes of receivers within receiver warranty and any other repair covered by warranty
Care and support does not include:
  • Provision of consumables for home use (charges apply, e.g. a dome may be replaced FOC in clinic, but a client wanting a packet of domes must purchase them)
  • On-site changes of receivers outside of receiver warranty (charges apply)
Any repairs or servicing required due to damage which is not covered under the product warranty (charges apply)
 

Price Match Promise

When presented with a valid written quote for the identical hearing aid also stocked by Triton Hearing, we will match this price if they are a genuine local competitor. A genuine local competitor is defined as being in the same city or town within a 5km radius. 

Price-matching will be only be provided against hearing aid manufacturer brands, and exclude retailer own-label products, such as the 'Advance' range by Specsavers.


Free 10-Day trial

The Triton Hearing FREE 10-Day trial Terms and Conditions must be signed and photo identification (Driver’s Licence or Passport) must be sighted and photocopied to participate in the 10 Day trial. Either a credit card, or a fully refundable deposit of $500 must be presented before the trial hearing aid(s) are fitted.

A hearing aid trial is only available to people that have a treatable hearing loss. At the conclusion of the 10 day trial , Triton Hearing will either proceed with an adjustment appointment and process the payment in full or the aid(s) and associated products provided (including supplied batteries, dry aid kit, and hearing aid packaging) must be returned in the condition in which they were supplied (subject only to fair wear and tear or any inherent defect).

During the trial period (and until returned to Triton Hearing) the safe custody and care of the aid(s) and related products issued to you is your sole responsibility. It is up to you to contact your insurance company to ensure the aid(s) are covered by them should anything happen. You will be responsible to cover the full cost of these aid(s) and any associated products if they are not returned in full and in the required condition within 10 days after the end of the trial period. There is no obligation to purchase the aid(s) provided they are returned in the required condition and time period.
 

3 year half-price upgrade

From November 2017, clients who newly purchased hearing aids from Triton Hearing’s PremiumPro and PremiumPlus ranges are eligible to replace their hearing aids at half price, 3 years from the trial finalisation date. The replacement hearing aids will come from the Phonak PremiumPro and PremiumPlus range of devices only.

Clients who purchased their hearing aids through the Ministry of Health Fully-Funded Hearing Aids scheme, Veterans Affairs, ACC, or Triton Friends and Family, are not eligible for this offer. Pay as You Hear and Insurance replacement clients are not eligible for this offer.

If a client wants to replace their eligible devices after the offer has expired (i.e. more than 3 months after their 3-year anniversary) they may do so at standard retail pricing. The offer is not valid after it has expired. The 3 year half-price offer is non-transferable, not available in conjunction with any other promotional offers, and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Returns and Refunds Policy

Triton Hearing will ensure all returns and refunds are processed in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 www.consumerprotection.govt.nz/general-help/consumer-laws/consumer-guarantees-act/
All hearing aids and other related products and accessories, and any products purchased online are fully refundable if they are returned to Triton Hearing in good condition within 60 days of the date of purchase.
 

60-Day money back guarantee

During the first 60 days after you have purchased any hearing aids you may return them in good working order for a full refund of the purchase price for any reason.  During the initial 60 day period the safe custody and care of the aids/devices issued to you is your sole responsibility.

It is up to you to contact your insurance company to ensure the aids/devices are covered by them should anything happen. Please note the hearing aid price above reflects the retail price before any subsidies have been applied.  

You will be responsible to cover the full cost of these aids/devices if they are lost, stolen, or broken (other than as a result of an inherent defect) within the 60-Day period. Our Clinician will need to meet with you to confirm the aid/devices are in good condition and that everything quoted has been returned to Triton Hearing Limited If this is the case, a full refund will be given. 
 

Manufacturer’s Warranty

All hearing aids and other related products and accessories bought from Triton Hearing come with a standard 2-year manufacturer’s warranty from the date they are ordered for supply to the customer (individual manufacturer's conditions apply).

At Triton Hearing, our aim is to provide you with excellent customer service by making sure your experience with us is above and beyond what you would expect. Our client satisfaction is very important to us, and we love the great feedback and letters we receive from clients thanking us for a great experience. However, sometimes we don’t get things just right, and we also aim to resolve any problems and complaints quickly and effectively.
