Bluetooth connected hearing aids

BluetoothR wireless technology has become a pivotal component in modern hearing aids. This advancement not only addresses traditional hearing aid limitations but also provides users with an array of advantages that significantly enhance their quality of life.

Mobile phone connectivity:
One of the most notable benefits of Bluetooth-enabled hearing aids is their compatibility with mobile devices. Wearers can easily pair their hearing aids with their smartphones, allowing for a variety of interactions:
  • Hands-Free Calling: Bluetooth-enabled hearing aids enable hands-free calling. This feature allows users to answer and make calls directly through their hearing aids, eliminating the need to hold a phone to their ear. It's a game-changer for convenience and safety
  • Media Streaming: Users can stream music, videos, podcasts, audiobooks, and other audio content. This means enjoying a rich, immersive audio experience without the need for additional headphones
  • App Integration: Many hearing aids come with companion apps that allow you to make adjustments yourself without the need to visit a clinic
  • Remote and Virtual Audiology: Triton Hearing offers the world's first remote Tele Audiology and Virtual Care services where the audiologist can speak to and adjust a client's hearing devices remotely, saving the client travelling to see their audiologist

Enhanced Sound Quality
Bluetooth hearing aids offer a leap in sound quality. With the ability to stream audio directly into the ear, background noise and interference are significantly reduced. This ensures users experience clearer, more natural sound, even in noisy environments.
Background noise from the street, for example, can be muffled, and natural sounds such as birdsong can be amplified. Some apps and hearing aids are able to detect the acoustic environment and adjust automatically.

Connectivity beyond phones and apps:
TV - Hearing devices can wirelessly connect to modern TVs through the use of Bluetooth connectors. This feature cuts through the surrounding noise and provides a crystal-clear audio experience, allowing users to enjoy TV shows and movies without any distractions.

Partner microphones - If you're needing to hear from further distances like lecture halls or people in other rooms of the house you can pair your devices with a partner micophone that can be set on a table or clipped to another person and you can hear them clearer from a greater distance.

Waterproof hearing aids

Enjoy sound wherever you are without the worry of getting your devices wet and them stopping working. Some hearing aids are waterproof and can be submerged for extended periods of time, providing wearers with the freedom to enjoy a range of experiences, from getting caught in the rain to swimming in the pool.

Phonak released the Audeo Life in 2022 which was the world's first waterproof+ rechargeable hearing aid. In 2023 they released the award-winning Audeo Lumity, an evolution of the Life device with more advanced sound processing features.

Discreet and invisible designs:

Phonak Slim: Combining a modern, never-before-seen design with state-of-the-art hearing performance. The unique ergonomic shape of Slim has a left and right side device contoured to naturally nestle behind the ear – even if you wear glasses.

Phonak Titanium: There are hearing aids made from medical-grade titanium. This makes the hearing aids sturdy, light, and resilient. Such hearing aids win points not only for their minimal size, but also, thanks to the customized production process, for the fact that they sit perfectly in the ear canal. They are discreet, as well as water and dust resistant. A titanium hearing aid can also adapt automatically to ambient noise without the need for manual adjustment.

Phonak Lyric: The Lyric is the first 100% invisible hearing aid. As the Lyric sits deep in the ear canal, it is entirely invisible from the outside. It can be worn for several months at a time and utilizes the anatomy of the ear to allow natural hearing. Thanks to the modern technology employed, you can wear the Lyric for all daily activities, including sport, and enjoy natural sound through an invisible hearing aid.
