Fieldays 2022

We're on a mission to make hearing healthcare accessible to all New Zealanders

Life gets busy. We get that. But, being busy doesn’t mean you have to miss out on hearing healthcare and giving it a go. If you can’t come to us, we’ll come to you.

Attending Fieldays means that we can see clients who wouldn’t have been able to visit us in one of our clinics. It’s just another way we’re breaking down barriers so that we can being access to hearing care services to all New Zealanders.

The Triton Fieldays team members

As usual, our site was busy! We had:

  • Four audiologists performing diagnostic hearing tests and explaining our clients results
  • Eight iPad kiosks, providing easy, self-screening hearing checks
  • Marquees and couches where our clients could relax (as well as shelter themselves from the rain and blistering sun!)
  • Our Virtual Care team offering remote follow up appointments so that our clients can have their appointments from their happy place.

Meet Virgil, our new Mobile Hearing Clinic

This year was extra special, as it is our first Fieldays event with our new Mobile Hearing Clinic, Virgil.

Boasting the latest innovations in hearing technology, our audiologists are able to screen two clients simultaneously. This is Mobile Hearing Care at its finest! What more could you want?

We were humbled to be invited to the Hauora Taiwhenua Health & Wellbeing Hub Pōwhiri

A special thank you to our audiologist, Zay, who proudly represented the entire Triton Hearing team during this event.

She shared how the team at Triton Hearing are committed to making hearing healthcare accessible to all New Zealanders, and particularly our Kaumātua thanks to the special partnerships with Iwi across Aotearoa.

Zay shared her personal reflections on this experience: “We all know people who are losing connection with their world due to their hearing. We have a fleet of Mobile Hearing Clinics and services like Virtual Care so that we can bring accessible services to Māori across Aotearoa, New Zealand.”

This special event allowed exhibitors to discuss how they are making access to care in their industry available to all New Zealanders, particularly Māori.

At Triton Hearing we are honoured support pāhake to stay connected with whānau and marae pā through free hearing checks and funding support for hearing aids.

We loved connecting with our clients outside of our clinics!

Triton Hearing client, Ron
We had an incredible full-circle moment this year as we welcomed Ron back onto our site. Ron visited us at Fieldays last year to have his hearing checked and trial hearing aids. He was so impressed he walked off with his trial devices and purchased them a week later. He’s never looked back.

If you would like to give it a go and experience the difference like Ron, give us a call on 0800 45 45 42 for your free hearing device trial.

At Triton Hearing, we are fortunate to have a network of hearing professionals, passionate about innovation, accessible hearing health services and client-centric care.

This year, we were joined on-site by staff from across our departments. From clinic teams to support staff and contact centre volunteers – we had it all!

We sat down with Learhmie, an audiologist at our Cambridge clinic, and Michelle, our Contact Centre Manager to find out what they love about visiting Fieldays.

“The best part of Fieldays is getting to connect with so many people from all walks of life. There is such a diverse variety of individuals interested in taking that first step towards better hearing. Coming to these events allows us to see clients who wouldn’t otherwise visit us and reconnect them with their world.”
- Learhmie, Audiologist at Triton Hearing Cambridge

“I love getting to be face-to-face with our clients. Fieldays is a great opportunity to have meaningful conversations, connect, hear our clients stories. It’s all about finding out how we can help them, in a way that best fits their lifestyle.”
- Michelle, Contact Centre Manager

Free hearing tests - are they too good to be true?

Kelli visited us with her parents, prompting her father to have his hearing tested. We love hearing stories of friends and whanau encouraging their loved ones to give it a go and have a hearing check.
Here they are, pictured with our Audiologist and Region Manager, Fabian, as he explains their test results.

In and out in no time at all! Better still, they have piece of mind knowing that all subsequent check-ups free of charge. No fine print. It’s not too good to be true. It’s just one of the ways we’re ensuring that all New Zealanders have equitable access to hearing healthcare.
